Write the Story
by Julie Lavender

Last week, I found out that several of the stories I've had the honor to share in newspapers or magazines were chosen as Selah Finalists in the contest sponsored by the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference. I shared an article on Edie Melson's blog, The Write Conversation, with details about some of those inspirational stories.

I'd love for you to scoot over to that site and read my post there. And, as always, I'd love for you to join the conversation there with a comment or two.

Here's some of the pictures that go with the stories I included there:

"Determined Teen Follows Her Dream"
-Statesboro Herald

"D's Friendly Diner"
-Guideposts Magazine

"Christmas Card Creations"
-Clubhouse Magazine

Don't forget to head over to The Write Conversation, here, to read "the rest of the story," ..... and join the conversation by commenting there. Thank you!

  1. Consider myself so blessed to call you my friend, mentor, and sister in Christ Ms. Julie. I've learned so much about finding my genuine "self" as a writer, and how important it is to tell the whole story in my writing. Thank you for allowing God to use you as an example for so many. God's blessings ma'am.

  2. J.D. - God must fill you up overnight with encouraging words to share the next day! You are SO encouraging, in so many ways, to other writers! Your words are profound and though-provoking, and they always make me go deeper in whatever I've written that caused you to say those very words!!! I thank you so much, J.D., for your faithfulness to comment and encourage me, always. Thank you for your sweet words in the comment; you can't imagine how much they mean to me!!! Blessings as you continue to tell lots and lots of "whole stories" in your writing! I certainly do enjoy those stories tremendously!
