Consider the Waterfall
by Julie Lavender

   I
      love
         waterfalls.

Watching bubbling, frothy currents plunge from heights above to boulders or pools of water below is mesmerizing.

The noisy and seemingly impetuous nature of the rushing water can be violent and deafening at times, and the silvery trickles of some waterfalls are barely noticeable without a keen eye.

I’m always amazed that the flow never ceases, with gallons of water flowing vertically over the course of hours or sometimes minutes.

It’s hard to imagine that rainfall and snow-melt can cause the endless flow of rivers and streams that result in stunning waterfalls at times.

The infinite source of water tumbling over ledges points me to the waterfalls’ Creator.

God’s picturesque waterfalls remind me of His constant source of love, with mercies never ending.

As surely as the water continues to flow, God’s presence in my life is unending.

He’ll always be there.

Forever.

His love for me never dries up – it can’t and it won’t.

He’s promised that.

    Living Water to
   carry me into 2020.

That’s the best way to start a new decade!

Happy New Year, and may God bless you as 2019 flows into 2020 in mere hours.

May you never forget nor take for granted that God is an unending source of love and mercy!

  1. Amen! Ms. Julie. I can't look at waterfall and not think of Revelation 22:1. Perhaps God created them to be earthly reminders of His heavenly promise. God's blessings and Happy New Year my friend. May you and your dear family be filled with peace, love, mercy, and grace.
